As usual, you make excellent, well-reasoned arguments. The racism and rot in our justice system is plain to see. I'm very thankful that you're pointing it out. I'm also nauseous, for good reason.

Thank you, Ms. Cohen, for the incredible amount of time and dedication required to bring to light the corruption of the DOJ and its cowardly US Attorneys who have violated their oath of office in exchange for the approval of the pedophile President, the source of the evil infecting the DOJ. Keep up your brave endeavors to expose the rot of the system.

#NotEverySingleProsecutorProbably. LOL. Love this, obviously. Thank you for this and everything you do.

Thank you for this post. As a former AUSA I am deeply appalled and angered by the corruption of our justice system by prosecutors who ignore their professional ethical obligations and warp our criminal justice system. Thank you for keeping this gross misconduct in focus. I am not clear whether the presiding judge has referred the prosecutor to the applicable disciplinary committee, but trust she has done so. The referral should be on the record to help send a message of deterrence to US attorney offices around the country and to DOJ.

Thank you for this post. I don't know very much about our legal system but it seems to me that the federal government is powerful enough that no matter what administration it is, they don't also need the “presumption of regularity”.

On the one hand, there are precedents for everything Trump and the Republicans have done since 2016. On the other hand, there is something radically new. I had a go at this in 2020, using the metaphor of a phase transition.
